TRAFFIC TICKETS AND
LOCAL ORDINANCE CITATION OTHER THAN PARKING TICKETS
If you do not pay ticket
within 15 days from date of issue, you will be notified of your court date Via. U.S. Mail.
TO PAY BY MAIL:
Follow instructions provided with the pre-addressed envelope.
(If not marked must appear)
TO PAY IN PERSON:
You may pay the ticket in person by appearing at the office of the Circuit Court Clerk,
505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois, Monday to Friday (except legal holidays)
between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, seven (7) working days after the ticket was
issued by the police agency and at least four (4) working days prior to the assigned court
date. The Clerk will accept cash, check, money order and credit cards. There is a
statutory service fee charged for the use of credit cards.
FAILURE TO RECEIVE
NOTICE:
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR FIRST COURT DATE NOTICE WITHIN 20 DAYS OF THE DATE THAT THE
TICKET WAS ISSUED:
(1) Phone the Circuit
Clerk's office at (630) 682-7080 and advise the deputy clerk that you have not
received your notice of first court date.
(2) Please have the
following information available when you call the clerk's office.
(a)
Ticket number.
(b) Name
of the police agency that issued the ticket.
You can also go to the
clerk's office at 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois, to handle the matter in
person.
Do not call the Oakbrook Terrace Police department as you will be directed to follow the
above instructions.
PARKING TICKETS
You may, BEFORE DUE DATE:
(1) Mail the amount
indicated in envelope/ticket
or
(2) Pay in person at the Oakbrook Terrace Police Station, 17 W 275 Butterfield Road
or
(3) Appear in person at the Oakbrook Terrace Police Station to request a court
hearing.
